Nile McElhaney

My name is Nile McElhaney, and I am a rising sophomore at Hampton University and a proud member of the Professional Nursing Program, which I entered a year early as an academic junior.

My biggest supporters and cheerleaders are my amazing parents, grandparents, and siblings.

I am an alumna of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women’s Positive Steps Program and a former volunteer with Kaiser Permanente’s community health fair.
At Hampton, I am involved in Generation Action, Planned Parenthood’s student group, and my department’s Media Engagement Club.

I plan to graduate with my Bachelors of Science in Nursing and minor in either Public Health or Pharmaceuticals. My goal is to work in labor and delivery while advocating for women’s health and reproductive rights.
